Solar calculator FAQ

Parnian engineers answer the most common questions about plant sizing, solar export income and payback.

How does the solar calculator estimate plant capacity?

It works through three paths: appliance load for off-grid systems, capacity and province for on-grid export income, and bill load bands (peak, mid and off-peak) to estimate the size of a grid-tied plant.

On-grid or off-grid — which should I choose?

An on-grid (grid-tied) plant needs no battery and exports surplus power under the guaranteed purchase tariff. Off-grid suits areas without grid access, water pumps and battery storage. The calculator supports both modes.

How much yearly income does a solar plant produce?

Income depends on plant capacity, yearly irradiance in your province and the purchase tariff. The calculator uses provincial GTI to estimate yearly production and shows your export income.

How is the solar payback period calculated?

The estimated installation cost is compared with yearly export income to derive payback. For an exact quote, contact the Parnian Energy team for a formal quotation and engineering advice.
